Harvard University’s construction of a 5 acre science center is being blamed for a recent infestation of rats in the area surrounding the site. Terrified citizens claim that the digging for the University’s science center unearthed rats’ nests and sent the vermin fleeing to the next available safe-haven: human homes. The Ivy League university, which claims to have effectively eradicated any rats’ nests, denies claims. “Foot long” rats have been spotted rummaging through trash, scurrying across kitchen floors, and generally causing mayhem. Apparently, they do not make good ratatouille.

Highlights of the month-long celebration include a “Localvore Dinner” that introduces students and faculty to food made form entirely local (less than 200 miles away) ingredients. Tomorrow, a Green Career Fair will introduce students to jobs and graduate programs that address environmental issues.
