Brainy and Beautiful Campuses

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

When you are applying to colleges, chances are you are considering things like size, location, majors, social opportunities, and most importantly, whether or not the campus is pretty.

Well, maybe campus aesthetics shouldn’t be on the very top of your list, but it’s more than OK to admit that you’d like to have an attractive place to call home for the next four years.

In MSN’s travel section, 15 of the most beautiful college campuses are highlighted. Why in the travel section, you ask? Simply because these schools are so stunning that if it weren’t for the dorms, there’d be vacation homes instead.
The fifteen schools are, in alphabetical order:

Brooklyn College
Elon University
Flagler College
Indiana University
Loyola Marymount University
Pepperdine University
Princeton University
Rhodes College
Stanford University
University of Virginia

University of Washington
Vanderbilt University
Wagner College

Wellesley College
Yale University

How wonderful to see that my alma mater, Wagner College, made the list. My undergraduate campus is so beautiful that alumni often return to take their wedding pictures on Sutter Oval!

What do you think of this list? What other schools should have been recognized? Let us know what you think.
